Having migrated from a dangerous city in Mexico, my family and I have come to this country to achieve proper education as well as opportunities that would make day-to-day life more rewarding. Sports did not become a part of my life into much later after we moved here to Texas and have since then become a foundation for my goals and aspirations. Although I have only played one full volleyball season, I've improved tremendously and distinguished myself as a captain of an 18s team as a first year 16 year old player. Going into my last season of volleyball I sacrificed a lot to be able to play for a club that would move me to the next level despite having to drive hours just to practice. Playing at the college level is a huge goal of mine and I will work harder than ever before to achieve that this season.
